Today
Since the concept was developed in 1998,
TBM has really taken off. At the present time 30 trusts
are benefiting from the Hill-Rom TBM approach and a
further 20 are either considering TBM or actively out to tender
for a TBM contract.
Most can demonstrate achieving better value for money by converting
their expenditure on rental of specialised beds and mattresses
to longer-term operating lease and service contracts or via
managed equipment services.
Virtually all the trusts which have contracted to Hill-Rom
thus far can demonstrate that TBM has been either cost-neutral
or provided cash producing savings.
