Welcome to Hill-Rom - TBM
In 1998 Hill-Rom, a leading medical equipment
supplier, was invited to tender through the OJEU to supply beds
and mattresses to a hospital.
The
hospital concerned was over 20 years old as were its beds. New
beds and equipment had been identified as an urgent priority
– and yet the hospital had insufficient funds to replace
all its beds and mattresses.
That was the challenge posted to Hill-Rom and
other companies which would ultimately lead us to the creation
of a concept allowing a new kind of partnership to develop between
hospital trusts and the private sector.
The result was Total Bed Management
(TBM), a concept developed by Hill-Rom which allows hospitals
to equip with state-of-the-art electric beds, pressure relieving
equipment and related medical furniture through genuine risk
sharing partnerships tailored to specific trusts needs. In short:
